How You’ll Contribute
As a Physician at Healthy Connections, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services, focusing on patients in need of HIV care and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and managing treatment plans. You will work closely with other healthcare providers, ensuring that all patients receive coordinated and holistic care. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about their conditions, fostering a collaborative environment for better health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and history evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with HIV and those requiring Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and monitor patient management plans.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate care to ensure comprehensive treatment.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support systems like Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Meaningful Use (MU).

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an approved residency program in a primary care specialty.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Arkansas.
  • DEA licensure.
  • Experience with HIV care and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is required.
  • Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a community health setting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and network systems.
  • CPR and ACLS training within 9 months of employment.
  • Ability to travel to all clinic locations and meetings as needed.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or willingness to be vaccinated prior to employment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting lab tests, prescribing medications, and referring patients for specialized care when necessary. You will also educate and counsel patients and their families, creating a collaborative care environment.

  • Manage patients in need of MAT services, ensuring individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in alignment with therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and other team members to create and monitor patient management plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care as needed.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in goals such as Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Meaningful Use (MU).

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Arkansas APRN licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and network systems.
