Healthy Connections, a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with more than 25 years of service to communities in Western and Central Arkansas, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team in either our Mena or Hot Springs clinic.

As a Dental Hygienist with Healthy Connections, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients’ oral and overall health. You’ll provide high-quality, patient-focused preventive and therapeutic dental services while collaborating closely with our dental providers and care teams to ensure continuity of care across all services.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform patient assessments, including medical history reviews, dental and perio charting, and vital signs.
  • Deliver a full range of hygiene care, including cleanings, polishing, X-rays, local anesthesia, sealants, fluoride, and DSRP as appropriate.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
  • Collaborate with dentists and support team members to improve clinical processes and patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with Arkansas Dental Practice Act standards.
  • Maintain infection control and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Provide emergency hygiene support when needed and assist with patient triage or walk-ins.
  • Participate in practice improvement initiatives, including Patient-Centered Medical Home and quality improvement projects.

What You Bring

  • Current Arkansas license as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related clinical field preferred.
  • Ability to provide ethical, evidence-based care within a team-based setting.
  • Experience in patient education and documentation in dental records.
  • Knowledge of dental surgery support, instrumentation, and sterilization practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage with patients of all ages.
  • Must be able to travel between clinic locations when necessary.
  • Must be eligible for post-offer/pre-employment physical and immunization requirements (e.g., TB and rubella).

  • Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ability to travel between clinic locations for training, oversight, and leadership meetings.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize and make decisions independently.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with direct experience in Medicare Chronic Care Management (CCM) and/or Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs will be given priority consideration. Experience should include:

  • Care plan development and management
  • Time-based care documentation
  • Remote monitoring platform usage
  • Medicare compliance requirements
  • G0511 billing familiarity
